This is cretainly not my healthiest baked oats recipe. Instead, it’s based on my recently new favorite snack : OREOS. I don’t really know when that happend but I’ve been craving Oreos even for breakfast! So I made this recipe. This took me like forever but I am so glad on how they turned out. Plus, it has ingredients, like heart-healhty oats. Sometimes, we just need to change the measuring stick.

Oats:
Rolled oats are a local superfood. Oats are also considered the most valuable grain in our diet. The fibre and complex carbohydrates make oats a superstar. The grain is grown as seed oats and is one of our staple foods. Rolled oats are a whole grain because they are made from the whole grain and only non-edible parts are removed.
Basic Health facts
40 grams of oats contain 0.3 mg of vitamin B1, which would cover a quarter of the daily requirement. No other grain has such a high B1 content as oats. And even among the Pseudo-cereals, only amaranth can surpass oats in terms of B1 – but only just.
Vitamin B1, together with B6, is THE nerve vitamin par excellence, so that a deficiency can manifest itself in dizziness, insomnia, fatigue and neurological disorders (e.g. neuritis).
Oreo Baked Oats
Ingredients
Batter
- 20 g oats
- 20 g grounded oats 10sec in mixer
- 90 ml oatmilk
- 50 g applesauce
- 1 tsp cocoa
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 2 Oreos
- 1 pinch vanilla
- 10 ml espresso (optional)
Filling
- 20 g (vegan) cream cheese
- 30 g Coconut Joghurt
- ⅓ tsp Agave syrup
- 1 pinch of vanilla
Topping
- 2 Oreos
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat.
- Put 20g oats, 20g grounded oats, 90ml oat milk, 50g applesauce, 1/2tsp baking powder, 1 tsp cocoa, 1 pinch of vanilla and optional 10ml espresso in a bowl and mix well so that the cocoa powder dissolves.
- Pit 175g dates and blend with 175ml oat milk and 2 bananas in a blender until everything is chopped and a creamy mixture is formed and pour this into a large bowl
- Remove the filling from both Oreo biscuits and place the filling in a small bowl. Now crush the Oreo biscuits (they should still be relatively large) and add them to the batter.
- Now add 20g (vegan) cream cheese, 30g Coconut Joghurt, a pinch of vanilla and 1/3tsp Agave Syrup to the Oreo filling (in the small bowl) and mix it, until Oreo filling is dissolved.
- Take an ovenproof round dish (I used a 9cm/3,5inch form) and put 2/3 of the batter into the dish. Then put the Oreo filling (step 4) in the middle and carefully pour the last batter on top. Now crush the 2 Oreos a little and put them on top of the Baked Oats.
- Baked the Baked Oats for around 15-20 Minutes and let them cool down a little bit.
Very Yummy recipe! I love it so much to bake 🙂
